About the Show

Lerner and Loewe’s award-winning story of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady is widely considered one of the greatest musicals of all time.

Eliza Doolittle is a young flower seller with an unmistakable Cockney accent, which keeps her in the lower rungs of Edwardian society. When Professor Henry Higgins tries to teach her how to speak like a proper lady, an unlikely friendship begins to flourish.

This classic features one of musical theatre’s greatest scores, including: “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?,” “With a Little Bit of Luck,” “The Rain in Spain,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to the Church on Time,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”

About the 91��ý Repertory Theater Company

Under the direction of Performing Arts Program Chair Paul Chalakani, the mission of the 91��ý/REP is to create opportunities for college and community participation in various rich and diverse theatrical experiences. The Company seeks to engage, entertain, inspire, and educate to enhance the cultural life of 91��ý and the surrounding communities. The 91��ý/REP provides 91��ý students, faculty, staff, and residents of neighboring communities the opportunity to attend and/or participate in quality performances of theatrical works – musicals and plays, classical and modern, traditional and experimental, through a well-balanced theatrical season. Additionally, the 91��ý/REP provides an environment for students of our performing arts program to apply what they are learning in a collaborative and encouraging format. The 91��ý/REP celebrates the power of the theatre to illuminate and mirror the human experience.
